Gap Inc. Joins How2Recycle® Label Program

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, February 16, 2021 — How2Recycle is excited to stitch Gap Inc. into the fabric of the How2Recycle label program. How2Recycle labels educate consumers on responsible disposal practices and will begin to appear on select product packaging across the Gap Inc. portfolio of brands, including Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta, in the second quarter of 2021.

Additionally, How2Recycle will support Gap Inc. in their work toward finding solutions to reduce their usage of plastic packaging while bringing forth more sustainable packaging design improvements. This partnership will support Gap Inc. in reaching their goal to eliminate single-use plastics by 2030.

“At Gap Inc., we recognize our responsibility to take care of the planet for the health of future generations. We’re proud to partner with How2Recycle to educate and empower our customers on how to recycle e-commerce mailers through Store Drop-off. This is one step on our sustainability journey towards creating cleaner and healthier communities,” said Jennifer Liu, Senior Specialist - Zero Waste & Circularity, Gap Inc.
